In Huddinge, about 30 kilometres south of central Stockholm, lies the scenic Sundby G\u00e5rd. The location couldn’t be better where Sundby Farm is situated along the southern side of Lake Orl\u00e5ngen.<\/p>\n\n
Here you have the opportunity to enjoy both good food and drink, as well as outdoor activities, both more leisurely and more fast-paced. At Sundby Farm there are activities to suit everyone, at all times of the year.<\/p>\n\n

Enjoy food at beautiful Sundby G\u00e5rd<\/h2>\n\n
The owners of Sundby Farm are the Bjurholm family, consisting of Thomas, Malin, Wilma and Teodor. They have been running the farm since 2007. Opening hours for Sundby G\u00e5rd are every weekday 11 to 14, when lunch is served. During the weekend, the restaurant is open from 12 to 16 for brunch and \u00e0 la carte. <\/p>\n\n
Sundby Farm’s caf\u00e9 is also open on weekends during the same hours. In addition, Sundby G\u00e5rd also organises wine tasting. In the spring of 2023, Sundby Farm will also organise a whisky tasting. On the other hand, there is probably no oakum at Sundby Farm.<\/p>\n\n
Not far from Sundby G\u00e5rd, in \u00c5rsta in southern Stockholm, is another famous farm, \u00c5rsta G\u00e5rd.<\/p>\n\n
\u00c5rsta G\u00e5rd was run by \u00c5rstafrun, who inspired author Lars Widdings’ novels that give an insight into life in the late seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. When you are at Sundby G\u00e5rd, the beautifully preserved surroundings allow you to think back to the days of \u00c5rstafrun. <\/p>\n\n
Car meetings at Sundby G\u00e5rd<\/h2>\n\n
Sundby Farm has also regularly organised special car meetings. At these car meetings, enthusiasts have the opportunity to meet and see each other’s cars, and talk about everything that goes with it.<\/p>\n\n
In 2022 a special “Mustang meeting” was organised and in previous years a Volvo meeting has been organised at Sundby Farm. In 2019, for example, a Volvo meeting was held at Sundby G\u00e5rd in the spring. <\/p>\n\n
Sundby G\u00e5rd is ideal for this type of meeting, as there is plenty of space for cars, accessories and visitors. Everyone also has the opportunity to enjoy the scenic location, while walking around looking at and admiring all the different cars.<\/p>\n\n
These car meetings are extremely popular and attract large numbers of visitors to Sundby G\u00e5rd each time they are held. So if you’re a car enthusiast, stay tuned for the next event at Sundby G\u00e5rd. <\/p>\n\n

Sundby G\u00e5rd, however, is not located in Huddinge. Not so far away, in Stockholm’s southern archipelago on the island of Orn\u00f6, there is another Sundby G\u00e5rd. Orn\u00f6 is located southeast of Haninge and forms the southernmost part of the Stockholm archipelago.<\/p>\n\n
Sundby G\u00e5rd on Orn\u00f6 is currently run as a B&B. Sundby G\u00e5rd on Orn\u00f6 specialises in nature experiences. Here you can enjoy fishing, hunting, seal safaris, swimrun or canoeing to name but a few. The area is also known as an excellent place for birdwatching. The area has nine lakes rich in bird life. Hunting on Orn\u00f6 consists mainly of waterfowl, but there is also regular hunting for hoofed game.<\/p>\n\n
Sundby G\u00e5rd on Orn\u00f6 also runs Br\u00f6dboden, where you can buy fresh bread, coffee, tea and cold drinks. Seasonal ice cream and cakes are also served, as well as sweets. At the bread stall there are also possibilities to moor your own boat.<\/p>\n\n
