In Huddinge, about 30 kilometres south of central Stockholm, lies the scenic Sundby Gård. The location couldn’t be better where Sundby Farm is situated along the southern side of Lake Orlången.

Enjoy food at beautiful Sundby Gård
The owners of Sundby Farm are the Bjurholm family, consisting of Thomas, Malin, Wilma and Teodor. They have been running the farm since 2007. Opening hours for Sundby Gård are every weekday 11 to 14, when lunch is served. During the weekend, the restaurant is open from 12 to 16 for brunch and à la carte.
Sundby Farm’s café is also open on weekends during the same hours. In addition, Sundby Gård also organises wine tasting. In the spring of 2023, Sundby Farm will also organise a whisky tasting. On the other hand, there is probably no oakum at Sundby Farm.
Not far from Sundby Gård, in Årsta in southern Stockholm, is another famous farm, Årsta Gård.
Årsta Gård was run by Årstafrun, who inspired author Lars Widdings’ novels that give an insight into life in the late seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. When you are at Sundby Gård, the beautifully preserved surroundings allow you to think back to the days of Årstafrun.
Car meetings at Sundby Gård
Sundby Farm has also regularly organised special car meetings. At these car meetings, enthusiasts have the opportunity to meet and see each other’s cars, and talk about everything that goes with it.
In 2022 a special “Mustang meeting” was organised and in previous years a Volvo meeting has been organised at Sundby Farm. In 2019, for example, a Volvo meeting was held at Sundby Gård in the spring.
Sundby Gård is ideal for this type of meeting, as there is plenty of space for cars, accessories and visitors. Everyone also has the opportunity to enjoy the scenic location, while walking around looking at and admiring all the different cars.

Sundby Gård in other places
Sundby Gård, however, is not located in Huddinge. Not so far away, in Stockholm’s southern archipelago on the island of Ornö, there is another Sundby Gård. Ornö is located southeast of Haninge and forms the southernmost part of the Stockholm archipelago.
Sundby Gård on Ornö is currently run as a B&B. Sundby Gård on Ornö specialises in nature experiences. Here you can enjoy fishing, hunting, seal safaris, swimrun or canoeing to name but a few. The area is also known as an excellent place for birdwatching. The area has nine lakes rich in bird life. Hunting on Ornö consists mainly of waterfowl, but there is also regular hunting for hoofed game.
Sundby Gård on Ornö also runs Brödboden, where you can buy fresh bread, coffee, tea and cold drinks. Seasonal ice cream and cakes are also served, as well as sweets. At the bread stall there are also possibilities to moor your own boat.
